Alexander McKenzie and mother Mary from Lilliesleaf
Seeking descendents of ALEXANDER McKENZIE (born to MARY McKENZIE in Lilliesleaf,
Roxburghshire, 1847) and ELIZABETH HUTCHINSON (born Edinburgh 1849) who married
in Edinburgh 1875.
They had four children born in Broughty Ferry, Angus:
JAMES McKENZIE, 1875
HENRY HUTCHINSON McKENZIE, 1877
ALEXANDER McKENZIE, 1880
ELIZABETH McKENZIE, 1883
Followed by four more born in Edinburgh:
CHARLES McKENZIE, 1885
GEORGINA McKENZIE, 1887
ROBERT McKENZIE, 1890
KENNETH McKENZIE, 1891
On the 1901 census they lived at 19 Beaverhill Terrace.

I am also looking for any information on Mary McKenzie (born 1814 to William
McKenzie and Janet Brown) and baptisied at Ashkirk, when William was labourer at
Sinton Mill.Mary had four children -
James McKenzie, 1837
Jane(aka Jean)McKenzie, 1841
Alexander McKenzie 1847 - who I havetraced to Edinburgh (SEE ABOVE)
Georgina, 1852, who was a school teacher and married John Weir in Edinburgh in
1882 and settled in Ayrshire, head three children and died in Girvan in 1924.
Mary and Georgina in 1881 lived in the High Street Lilliesleaf next door to the police
station.
Mary died in Lilliesleaf in 1890 and there was a MI to her, her parents and
brother Kenneth in the chutrchyard.
I have not been able to trace either James or Jane.
