Dear Donald, I think I just left you a message on the Ross and Cromarty queries.
I have made contact with Fiona. She had been researching information on Willie John's family a couple of years ago for me with some success.
Wiile John remains a mystery. His children came to Australia with their aunt Flora Bella McLennan/Corbett/McAffer. He is supposed to have died in WW1. There is no likely matches on the War Graves register.
I found a nephew who died WW1 and one who died WW2. Are there shipping records of people who left Scotland circa 1912? Possibly Canada.
He was born 1875 in Contin, so would have been in his 40s. Quite possibly a merchant seaman. His parents were John McLennan and Winey Kennedy.
Any information greatly appreciated.
