I am descended from Margaret MacLennan b. 1798 in New Brunswick of Scottish Origin.I believe her brother might be listed in the St. Mary's, York, New Brunswick 1861 census, he is James MacLennan b. in New Brunswick about 1802. Margaret lived near Boiestown, York, New Brunswick which is now in Northumberland County. They are listed as being Baptist. The area they lived in has many Scottish and United Empire Loyalist families. When Margaret married John Spencer about 1820 witnesses to the ceremony were Abel Pond and George Weade.
Names that run in the family are John, James, William, Alexander, Daniel, Isobell, Margaret, Douglas etc.
I also found a wedding announcement for Margaret's son James Spencer, his second marriage, married in Bloomfield Ridge, York, New Brunswick to Amelia Grace MacLennan, daughter of James MacLennan.
Any help finding Margaret's parents and siblings would be great.
