William Maxwell McClennan UK-NZ-AUS mystery

I am looking for William Maxwell McClennan (McLennan) who may have been born around 1900-1910 or so in the UK or NZ. If he was born in UK then he was possibly adopted and taken to New Zealand about age 2. He married Connie Cassidy from Australia. They settled in Australia having three children Carol, Patricia and Bill.
