Maclennans from Nth Uist/Harris1800

Hi my name is Catherine and I have just joined your fantastic group. I can't believe I have found this site and thanks to the Stonehaven site I was able to find this one. My fathers name is Angus Farquhar Maclennan, born 24march1933. His father was Neil Maclennan, born 24july1895-died25july1983, married to Katie-ann Morrison, born 23july1898-died28/29Nov1980. They were both born in Harris in the Hebridean Islands. My father was born in Nth Uist and still lives there. I was fostered as a baby and brought up in Glasgow, although now in Australia. My father was able to tell me that his father Neil was 6th generation from the Orkney Islands where he think some-one by the name of Makay settled in Harris. Can anyone help me in going any further with names , dates etc as you can imagine being so far away makes it rather difficult. I can,t tell you how excited I am at the prospect of at last finding something out about my heritage. Cheers to all of you and thanks in advance to any who can help.
