Hi Rob,
My name is Mary Lee (McClendon) Becker, and I am the volunteer Group Administrator for the McClendon Y-DNA Project.
I do not know if you are familiar with the function of a Y-DNA surname project, but I would be happy to explain, if you wish.
The reason that I am responding to you, is twofold:
First, the McClendons/McLendons have historically been thought to be McLennans. Y-DNA test results could quickly prove, or disprove that assertion.
Secondly, I was thinking that Y-DNA testing might be one way for you to achieve your goal, of sorting out particular groups of McLennans.
Because you are a male with the surname of McLennan, you already have access to your first test subject.
So email me, if you are interested, or have any questions.
Best regards,
Mary Lee
