Eric, your message is so laden with inaccuracy that I have to respond just in case anyone else should read it.
"Next to the O'Neill family [Ui Naill]this is the second most important name in the ranking of the High Kings of Ireland..."
You are confusing the Ui Neill dynasty with the O'Neill family. Both the MacLochlainn and the O'Neill families are equally descended from a long line of Ui Neill kings.
"...for Ulster/Dalriada that ruled from both Tara and Armagh [hill Fort of Navan]"
The MacLochlainns/O'Neills ruled Aileach/the North not Ulster/Dalriada from Aileach/Tullaghoge not Tara/Navan fort.
"This family split the olde land holdings of Donegal into Donegal/Tyrone in the 10th century"
Donegal did not exist in the tenth century. Donegal is the name of a county created by the English administration in the late sixteenth century.
See http://www.maclochlainn.org/http://www.maclochlainn.org/ for some proper details.
