I have often wondered if anyone might connect to this family:
"In the name of God Amen, I James Mahon now of Cumberland County, Schoolmaster, being very sick and weak of body yet of perfect mind & memory caling (sic) to mind my mortality of my body & that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and apoint this my last will & testament. I commit my soul to God who gave it & my body to be suried in a decent Christian like manner at the discreation of my executors & as to what worldly goods it has pleased God to bless me with in this life I do leave & will in the following manner that is I leave John Mahon my brother in Ireland in the county of Donegall in the parish of Rai son of David & martha Mahon to be the whole & sole heir & I do leave Archibald Mahon of Cumberland County and Township of Lurgan & William Duncan of County foresaid I give unto the (words unclear) all my goods & effects it shall be at their descreation whither they administor or not as they shall see most fit & after defraying my funeral chartes & all other charges lawfully binding & then to return to the above mentioned legatee what remains. December 1772 Letters Testamentory were granted to Archibald Mahon & Wm. Dunhan Executors named in the last will & testament of James Mahon Deceased of which the foregoing record is a true copy.
