Hi there from us Maishs over in England. On a recent trip to Belgium, i found the grave of a W.E Maish in the Tyne Cot cemetry in Ypres. This cemetry is in memory of victims of the First World War and is the largest of its kind. The W.E Maish here was a Second Ltnt. in the Machine Gun Corp. He dies on the 12th October, 1917. I cannot trace him as one of my ancestors, but wondered if anyone had a good idea who he was?
As a point of interest, the furthest I can go back in my tree is to Frank Maish (1899-1993). His wife, Nancy, is still alive living in South Africa and i am sure information of lost relatives would be gladly accepted.
