Dear Sarah:
I realize that my writing to you now won't help for last year's assignment, but I think that it's great that you want to know about our family.

My family goes back to Ohio in 1850.They moved to Kansas for a while, and by 1890, they were in Arkansas. One of my great-grandfather's sisters was named Sarah Makinson.Maybe you are named for her?She married a man named Wilson Bailes on St. Patrick's Day in 1868.

Anyway...Sarah was one of 7 children who were all born in Ohio.I wish you luck looking up the family.Makinson is actually a rare Welsh name. There are a lot of us because the Makinson's had many boys in each generation and they all had lots of kids.

I hope you did well on the project and that our family trees do cross.

Linda Makinson-Asaro
