east-Asian (American Indian) and African
Recent Autosomal results of DNA testing proved and confirmed Mantooth Family oral history. The mother of "Cherokee Tom" Mantooth was mixed blood American Indian (Amerind). In addition, it shows she was mixed blood Amerind and African, very probably 50-50. The indication is that one of her parents was Amerind and the other African.
This was proven by the Autosomal testing of two descendants of "Cherokee Tom's". With the testing of two descendants, it is confirmed.
