Re: Charles Mainwaring/Manwaring/Manwarren?????
Hello! It seems that we talked quite a few years ago, but I lost track of you after I set aside my research. It got to the point where I couldn't go any further and didn't know what else to do.
I was hoping that Ancestry.com would be worth joining, but I was wrong. My plans were to visit the Sandy Creek Library if they still have a genealogy department. It's been awhile since my last visit. They had their own Ancestry.com account and allowed patrons to use it.
The Mormon genealogy website isn't very good either.I hit another wall there.Other than going to Connecticut to learn more about Oliver (and to see if one of our "Samuels" were there) or traveling to the U.K., I am at a loss as to what to do.
I was looking at Family Tree Maker in the store this afternoon and if I had purchased it (which I didn't), it would have given me only a two-week subscription to Ancestry's website.Didn't sound like much of a deal to me.
If you hear anything more about Charles, please let me know. Thanks for writing back!
