Ok, first off I would like to state that the first name on the list for the Aylesford Cemetary should read George Thomas Mapplebeck. He was son to the first name on the Aubrun list, also George Thomas Mapplebeck. Second, no one over here has ever spelled it Mappleback. It pains me to see my grandfather's name so incorrectly noted, though I am sure it was no fault of yours. I am almost 100% positive it is spelled correctly on his grave, and if it isn't someone will pay for it...
Also, if it helps, I am related to everyone on that list I think. The first Mapplebeck to immigrate to Canada that I know of was Paul Mapplebeck in 1929. He was 15 at the time.
Also, I have John Emery Mapplebeck's Commemoration from the Second World War Book of Rememberance, and I also have his enlistment papers somewhere if anyone is interested in those...
