Hey Judy good to hear from you.I am a GREAT GREAT GRANDSON of Edgar, living in Ontario. I have a reference to Robert March 1852-1905m Elizabeth and had 2 daughters, Laura and Regina plus five more generations of that family, but I dont have a son Robert on file. However Robert b.1852 is a brother to my GREAT GRANDFATHER William b 1853.and sons of Edgar I, other brothers were Lowtrip, and Annanias.
The problem now begins. There were several Johns who married Anns and there were two families of Marches living in Greens Harbour and each had a John at the head. Edgars family was called the Brook MARCHES AS THEY LIVED DOWN BY THE BROOK BUT THESE FAMILIES DID NOT SEEM TO BE CONNECTED.Our John march seems to have been older than John b 1782-1866. John b 1872 m. ann ? and had Trader William 1804-1835 and Planter John 1809-1885.Planter John had Azariah 1834-1891, who had Alexander1878-1952,who had among others Walton Alexander 1903-. Walter and I have spoken often many years ago and he said that his father could not make a connection between his family and mine even tho they lived in the same village all their lives.
So it seems that John 1872 was not the father of Edgar.
Can you fill in any of the blanks.Regards Bill
P>S> I have had DNA testing which suggests that I am not a part of John b 1872 family
