John and Ann Marches of Old Perlican
I am confused over the several different accounts of these people.1. John m. Ann, records 14 children in Old Perlican.
2. John b. 1782 m. Ann records an Old Perlican branch in which William b. 1804 and John b. 1809 are children.
3.John b. 1782 m. Ann Norman b 1786, which includes Old Perlican and Greens Harbour children.
4.John b. 1786 m. Ann Norman b.1786 ,predominantly Greens Harbour children.
I have no record of John b. 1872 other than his death in O.P. 1866.
Ann Norman married John on Jan 6, 1812 in St Johns Anglican Church and therefor is unlikely to be the mother of William 1804 and John 1809.
My information is that Stephen March of O.P. by his 2nd wife Ann had a daughter Ann who married Stephen Knight in St Pauls church Trinity in 1793.Stephen later went to live with his daughter in St Johns and took with him his niece Ann and his son John b. 1786 The marriage of John to Ann Norman more closely allied the business interests of Devon, Brigus and St. Johns. After the death of Stephen Knight the Marches became principals in the Knight businesses.
