James Margeson married to Elizabeth Mitchell Dutchess County NY
I wonder if anyone has any information on James Margeson, probably born around 1720. According to"The Margeson Family in the Colonial Period" by Norris Margeson Whiston, James married Elizabeth Michel and was living in Rhinbeck, Dutchess County, NY. My4th great grandfather, Peter Margison, birth date unknown, was married on 19 June 1785 to Catherine Roosa b. 1761 in the Katsbaan and Saugerties Reformed Church, Ulster County, New York. I have 2 possible candidates for Peter's parents, Peter Margeson b. 1717 and his brother James. Peter b. 1717 has 2 documented children, Catherine b. 1745 and Gideon b. 1754. He was a member of Capt. Vischers brigade in 1762 and living in the Albany NY area, so it's possible he had another child that I can't find. James was living in the Ulster/Dutchess county area of NY at about the same time but I can't find any children for him. Any ideas?
