I might be able to help you identify these names, although you have mentioned more Fogg names than Maris names.Jesse Ellsworth Maris was the son of Isaac and Alma (Buten) Maris.Isaac was born near Damascus Ohio.Years later, his son Jesse married Hannah Fogg of Damascus.Isaac and Alma and children Jesse and Hannah all lived near Nortonville, Atchison Co., Kansas.Both Jesse and Hannah had relatives living near West Branch, Cedar Co., IA.

My g'g'grandfather, William Maris, served as mayor of West Branch and was a grain, coal, and implement dealer in West Branch.Isaac Maris was his older brother.So Jesse was my great-grandmother's own first cousin.More later, Clarance Maris Smith
