I already have that information, sorry I should have let you know, and I do agree with your opinion on Robert and Janet's death records.
Robert Haldane and Janet Downie also had Robert, a crofter, born 12/12/1784 Campsie (married 20/07/1810 to Margaret Stevenson at Baldernock) died 24/10/1856 Main St, Duntocher, Old Kilpatrick , and Margaret born about 1787 Campsie(married John Marshall, son of John and Janet surname unknown, 29 AUG 1813 Campsie ) died 1873 Old Kilpatrick, Dunbartonshire. I have various certs.(Robert Haldane's 1856 death, Margaret's 1873 death, John Marshall's 1869 death, some parish relief records of Elizabeth Haldane Baillie which I got at the Mitchell library, showing that she had a family Bible which was handed down through possibly Margaret's Haldane's Marshall line) and other records which may be of interest which I can send you if you want? I still have to work out where Margaret's John Marshall came from, but they had Janet 12 JUL 1812 Campsie and James 21 AUG 1814 Campsie. I've attached a census record for East Kilpatrick which is likely to be the same family, but with additional children, notably Margaret, same as the name of the witness to Margaret's 1873 death. Also interesting to note that John is a Lime Miner, ring any bells?
