searching for info re: a Mary Ann (Marston) Rines/Rhines who married Charles Gatchell/Getchall STILKEY and had son James. I have a photo of a tiny looking little woman who appears to be about 65 years old in the photo. The photo was taken at a studio in Lewiston, Androscoggin Co., ME called H. L. Stevens. She (woman in photo) has very thin round lensed wire framed glasses on. On the back of the photo it says H. H. PRATT (Hattie?? Hannah??) and my grt. grandmother has written in "my grammy Stilkey". Her father was James STILKEY son of Charles Gatchell/Getchall STILKEY. However George was married at least twice that I know of, but possibly 3 times and perhaps this "H.H.PRATT" is the father of my James Stilkey. I have info from somewhere given to me a long time ago that I do not have documented that says... Mary Ann (Marston) RINES married on Aug. 31, 1843 in Augusta, Kennebec Co., Maine to Charles Getchell STILKEY. Her birth is given as Oct. 11, 1825 and her parents are given as Thomas RINES and Mary OSBORN(e), however why would her maiden name be shown as MARSTON but her fathers name as RINES??I'm confused. This supposed Mary Ann (Marston) RINES who m. Charles G. Stilkey did name a daughter "Hattie" who was b. in 1852 and she married a Wm. FRYE. (supposedly) This family tree is notoriously known for repeated marriages so perhaps someone here can help me sort this out. Any help at all greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
