Robert - Hanover Parish, King Geo., Co.

Do any of you have any information on the Massey family who lived in Hanover Parish, King George Co., VA?Until a week or so ago, I thought my 5th g-grandfather, ROBERT MASSEY, was the son of THOMAS MASSEY and ELEANOR (PERENDOR) BUNBERRY.Then I
received a will I had ordered from King George Co.I ordered the will of my Robert, but they sent the will of Robert MASSEY who died 1805-1806, who obviously had no children and had a sister named Eleanor MASTIN, and who apparently was the son of Eleanor and Thomas Massey.I also found excerpts from wills in Westmoreland Co. where John Massey
mentioned his sister, Eleanor MASTIN of Maryland and his brother, Robert Massey of King George Co.He also mentioned the sons of his brother, Thomas MASSEY.

Last night, a distant cousin of mine, who is an absolute angel to do this, sent me the wills of Thomas Massey (Eleanor Bunberry's husband), my Robert Massey, and his wife, ELIZABETH MASSEY, whose will was dated 7
April 1802 and filed 2 Sep 1802 in King George Co. My Robert made his will in Hanover Parish, King George Co.Who could he
belong to?Judge Massey indicated his parents were Eleanor Perendor and Thomas Massey, but apparently they were not.

Elizabeth Massey mentioned her son, James D. Massey, John BRYAN, Sarah BRYAN, granddaughter, Ann Monroe MASSEY, and Rebecca ROLLINS. She and Robert had a daughter named Rebekah, so this might be Rebecca Rollins.Rebekah was named in Robert's will and was apparently unmarried when he died around 1793-1794.Rebekah and my 4th
g-grandmother, Mary MASSEY, were to split a bond from Richard W. ASHTON and Charles ASHTON, according to their father's will.I don't know how the ASHTONs fit in, but I know there were ASHTONs who married either
MASSEYs or DADEs earlier.The ASHTONs were also witnesses to the will of Mary and Rebekah's brother, another Robert MASSEY, along with Benjamin and Margaret (MAHONEY) MAHORNEY.
