I am related to the Massey's of Denton County and had hoped this was a lost child, but my line is through Rochelle Jefferson Massey who married Lousette Josephine Hardwick in Denton County in 1890.RJ did not even come to Texas until 1884 or move to Little Elm in Denton Co. until 1896.His eldest child , Katherine Irna Massey, was not born until 1891.
To my knowledge, all of his siblings were born in Georgia. His youngest sister, Mollie Ann Massey, was born in Bibb Co., GA, July 23, 1881, so your Cara Edna could not have been a sister to RJ.
She might have been a niece as RJ's father, Hugh Elbert Massey moved to Texas with some of his family in 1884.The only choice would have been through RJs' eldest brother John Massey who was born 5 May 1858.I have no information on John to suggest his wife's name or if he, in fact, went to Texas with his father and RJ.
Thanks for the offer and the chance to review that branch of my family.
