Re: MASSEY Surname, Saintfield, NIR

I am currently researching my Batton family history in Saintfield, Co. Down and find that George Batton was married to Eliza Massey, daughter of Alexander Massey.
Alexander was a farmer in the Tonaghmore area (as shwon in 1863 Griffiths Valuation).
George and Eliza's children were baptised in 1st Saintfield Presbyterian Church and their daughter Ellen married James Gordon in 1867 in this church.
George Batton died in Galston Ayrshire in September 1872, widower of Eliza Massey.
We believe that on the death of his spouse Eliza, George took his 6 children to live in Galston, Scotland.
Ellen's children were baptised at St Anne's Church in March 1871 and July 1872.
