Hi, Gifford, I have a kind of strange situation with a Margaret WAlker Massie.She would have been my grandmother.Margaret would have been born approx. 1907.She gave birth to an illegitimate child, my mother, in 1927 at the Florence Crittenton Home in Wash. DC.I have a letter from the home dated in the '70s explaining Margaret came from a well-to-do family in Virginia, with relatives in Alexandria.I believe Margaret was as only child, but I'm not certain of that.Anyway, so much time has passed that I doubt I'll ever know much.Everything was veiled in such secrecy back then.

My mom is now in her 70s and in failing health but always talks about wanting to know more.If you have any ideas or heard any mention of a long lost daughter in this family, please let me know.I often wonder if Margaret went on to have other children that would still be alive.
