Mast Family Cemetary Valle Crucis NC

I'm wondering if anyone out there can help me with this information--

My maternal great, great grandmother, Hannah Hardin Wood and a young son, Edgar Macy Wood, are buried in the Mast Family cemetary in Valle Crucis, NC.They were both originally from Randolph County, NC and I'm wanting to know if anyone out there knows how they came to be buried in the Mast Cemetary. Edgar Macy Wood, aged 3 years, died in 1880 and Hannah died in 1893.If anyone knows the story, please let me know.
