I sent a long email to you, but it was returned as "undeliverable".My name is Judy Layne Lyons Walker (09-12-1946)I am the youngest grandchild of Daniel Harrison Mast (1866-1960) and Ruia Jane Lowrance (1879-1959).My parents were Ralph Elbert Lyons (1908-1991) and Ruia Jane Mast (1912-2000).I am assuming that your grandfather was Orville Mast (my mother's brother) and that your father is Edward Mast (my first cousin). Uncle Orville and Aunt Ruth had a son, Edward, and a daughter, Jean.The children of Daniel Harrison Mast & Ruia Jane Lowrance were:Donald Mast, Margaret Mast Ellis, Orville Mast, Ollie Mast Henson, twins Roe Mast & Rose Mast Combs Lane, Ruia Mast Lyons (my mother), Gladys Mast Thompson Mast and Josie Mast Baird.There were 3 children that did not survive infancy:twins Johnny Ray & Nanny Faye Mast and another infant.The only surviving child is my aunt, Gladys Mast Thompson Mast (10-17-1913).Aunt Gladys is very healthy and active and lives in Vilas, North Carolina, just a few miles from her birthplace Sugar Grove, NC on Cove Creek and a few miles from Valle Crucis.My grandfather's sister, Josephine Mast Mast married Finley Mast and their home is now known as The Mast Inn & Farm in Valle Crucis.

The parents of Daniel Harrison Mast were Col. Joseph Harrison Mast (1827-1915) and Clarissa P. Moore (1829-1899).Col. Joseph Harrison Mast was the son of John Mast (1786-1868) and Susan E. Harmon (1790-1868).The parents of Ruia Jane Lowrance were Lawson Lee Lowrance (1842-?) and Margaret "Maggie" Query (1847-?).I would love to hear from you & I hope my assumption that you are Edward's daughter is correct.
