Re: The Masters Family History, 1691-1989

Just beginning my on-line MASTERS family research, and came across this post. My grandmother had done quite a bit of research, and I was fortunate to obtain all her data when she passed.

In response to your comment regarding Masters from Scotland, my grandmother's records indicate her grandfather, Richard James MASTERS was born in Glasgow, Scotland on 1 May 1836. He married Sophia Lavinia MALLETTE (b. 5 Jun 1847, d. 5 Nov 1903) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on 18 Aug 1873. Richard and Sophia had five children: Richard Mallette MASTERS, Frederick Augustus James MASTERS, Edwin Paul Henry MASTERS, Evangeline Lavinia MASTERS, and Clara Agnes MASTERS.

The only other information I have on Richard James is he had a brother Benjamin MASTERS (dates of birth/death unknown).

Anyone have connections/information on this family line?
