I just noticed that you live in Charolettetown and offered to look at local records if you had time
My Great Grandfather was Malcolm Matheson and his wife was Lavinia Bell they were both born about 1850, Ido not know where
In the 1881 census they lived in lot 21(Stanley Bridge) and at that time they had 3 children George, my grandmother Christine Ameliaand Alexander. They eventually had 3 more sons and by 1890 had moved to Vancouver. I cannot trace them before the 1880 census
My Grandfather was Arthur James Scott, son of Robert Scott and Annie Snellgrove. they were born in the 1830-1840 time period andagain I do not know where. Arthur James was born in 1874 PEI Charlottetown and he had three brothers, Robert Arthur and George.
The 1864 Hutchins directory shows a Robert Scott carraigemaker in Charolettetown
I am trying to determine where these 4 greatgrandparents came from and who were there parents and also when they left PEI
If you have the time and the curiosity I would appreciate your help. I live in Kirkland WA and it is a long way to PEI
Thanks
