HERMAN MATTHEWS DIES IN PINE BLUFF, ARK.
Funeral To Be Held Here Thursday.
Herman Matthews, 40, former resident, but for the last few years residing in Clinton, Okla. died in Pine Bluff, Ark., Monday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock, after an illness of pnumonia.
Mr. Matthews, who is a traveling salesman, lived in Nashville until 1921 when he moved to Oklahoma. He has many friends here, especially among traveling men, having taken an active part in traveling fraternal affairs.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa Carroll Matthews and little daughter, Ruth Ann Matthews of Clinton; his mother, Mrs. A.A. Matthews of 1510 Hawkins Street, Nashville, and a brother, Hooper Matthews of 501 Wilson Boulevard.
The body will be shipped to this city and funeral services will be held from the Combs Funeral Home, Thursday morning at 10 o'clock, burial to be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
