Mauldin Wives of George W Wilson~1870/1880 MS/AR/OK
My Great Grandfather George Washington Wilson married two daughters of John Wesley Mauldin (b~1813, son of Absalom Mauldin and Cynthia Carolyn Seale). I believe that John's wife was Martha Harvey, but I have no other info about her.
GW (born 1949 in Tennessee) married one of the daughters sometime between 1870/1875, and she died a just a few years later, sometime between 1878/1880.I am not sure if she was Sarah (b~1846), Susan (b~1848) or Margaret (b~1851). GW and his first Mauldin wife had three children: Annie (b~1875), Mary (b~1876) and Thomas (b~1878).
After her death, two other Mauldin sisters, Laura(b~1838)and Martha(Mattie)b 1856 came to live with the Wilson family in Arkansas.
In 1884, GW married Mattie Mauldin. They had two sons, Joseph, (b~1891)and James Ernest (b 1895).
The Mauldin daughters were all born in Mississippi, andthe Wilsons lived in Pleasant Hill, Izard County, Arkansas.GW and Mattie later moved to Newby, Creek County, Oklahoma, and lived there until their deaths, Mattie in 1917 and GW in 1933.
I would greatly appreciate any information about the Mauldin sisters, their parents and/or the four oldest Wilson children.
