That Nancy M. was a Mauldin could be forum guess-work, or perhaps family lore.I'd bet the answer could be found in John T's will and we can probably get some details or the whole will if we start looking.Don't forget that for John T, the Mauldins would be pretty closely connected.This Nancy could also be a girl who married a Mauldin and was widowed.Because of Couch connections, I've been looking at Bailey family, specifically John M. Bailey in 1880 Pickens, GA, pg 11, who has John W Mauldin 10 yr old in his home.This connection has to do with my ancestor.It is just a piece of the puzzle.smiles, Cynthia
