Hi Melissa,
So glad to meet you.
Who do you descend from?
Which child of Clarissa's?
I do have a couple photos of Clarissa and photos of several of her children too.
I have LOTS!! (:of information and have been working with someone who descends from Lutilla Case Chase & someone from my line ("Cappy" Oaks Humphreys who married her first cousin, Charles G. McAboy in the 1920s and it lasted a very short time)-too.
I also have several differences in data. Here are a few. Pleassse (: email me at [email protected] and we can share information etc.
Again, I'd love to hear from you,
Tracie

1850 census: [5 Dec] Rutland, Meigs, OH p. 91
OAKS, Goram [should be Gorham] 32, carpenter, value-real estate $500b. Maine
*Clarrissa 20, b. Ohio
*Levi 6, b. Ohio
*Lovina 3, b.Ohio
*CHASE [!!should be CASE], Lucy b. Ohio
*McABOY, Thomas 22, tailor, b. Ohio
NOTE: Didn't list Giles C. OAKS yet--His 1900 census shows that he was born May 1850 indicating his biological father would be Gorham & Giles never used Case as a surname however, Lutilla always did.
Records from Meigs County, Ohio indicate Gorham Oaks & Clarissa Case (McAboy) were married 07 Oct 1849.
My gg-grandma "Cappy" Oaks-Humphreys-McAboy died in Arthur, N.D. though it's close to Grand Forks.
