Noted your 2008 post on the McCafferty forum asking abut a John McCafferty.

My line is via James McCafferty, who had a brother named John/Jack.James died in Craven Co., NC, ca 1797.My James married a Lovey Hill, in Craven Co, ca. Feb 1787.She died in New Bern.

I believe that their father and mother were Cormac McCafferty and Jane 'Jinny' Green, of Botetourt Co., VA.

If your John is the same 'John / Jack' McCafferty who was the brother of my James, then this John was b. ca. 1760.
