Tom, I was going to say I wasn't sure, as the Bridget I found was on the 1870 and 1880 census with her parents. In 1880 Bridget was 7 and 18yrs and was born in Pennsylvania as are her other brothers and sisters.BUT thinking about it, perhaps 'your' Bridget was a younger sister of Barney McCARRON [as with the McDivett name, I have seen various spellings].
In the letter, Annie may have been refering to her sister-in-law. I Don't Know, just speculating. The Bridget mentioned in the letter, states "Bridget ______ daughter dead and buried..."unfortunately no dates or places on that.I also am not sure that it refers to Bridget[next line] _____ or Bridget and [next line] ______ as the paper is smudged at these two points. Perhaps in solving these two puzzles, we can unravel a whole new family line or OPEN up a whole new puzzle!Frances
