McCarrons and McMenamins in Lowell, Mass.
Reposting with additional info.
My great grandfather, Anthony McCarron was born in Donaghcavey Parish, County Tyrone in 1860, the son of Felix McCarron and Anna nee: McMenamin. They married in 1855 in nearby Dromore parish, relocated to the area around Fintona and had 11 children. My ggf Anthony emigrated to the US, settling in Lowell, MA in 1881. In all, six sons and at least two daughters of this family emigrated and settled in Lowell:
Ellen (1856-1886) (never married)
Patrick (1857-1936) (married Mary Ellen Keenan - 8 children) (moved to, died in Brockton)
Anthony (1860-1;934) (married Catherine Teague - 2 children)
Felix (1862-1898) (married Mary Harrington - no children)
James (1864-1908) (never married)
Mary (1866-1890) (married John K. O'Neil - no children)
Michael (1868-1914) (never married)
Joseph (1874-1955) (married Mary Coughlin - 6 children)(moved to, died in California)
A Bridget, born in 1870 and and Anna born in 1872 may have immigrated together in 1889.A Hugh, born in 1858 probably remained in Ireland.
Probably related to this family, also immigrating to Lowell in the 1880s and 1890s were several sons and daughter of Patrick McMenamin and Ellen nee: Donnelly of Dromore:
Hugh (1860-194) (married Elizabeth McConville, no known children)
Mary (1863-?) (no trace after 1894)
Owen (1864-1898) (never married)
Ellen (1872-1895) (never married)
Margaret (1874-1929) (married Patrick Ford, at least three children in Dunstable, then back to Lowell)
Delia (1878-?) (aka Bridget, married Frank Shepard, at least 4 children; moved to Boston, later Melrose)
In addition to finding new cousins, hoping to establish relationship between Anna McMenamin, wife of Felix McCarron and Patrick McMenamin, husband of Ellen Donnelly.Anna and Patrick may have been sister and brother based on several clues, but do not know their parents yet.
