McCarrons from Lowell Mass
Frank McCarron, my grandfather, was born in Lowell. He joined the army at age 21 in 1901. His military record notes that he served in the Phillipines from 1902 to 1904.His military documents were signed by 2nd Lt Walter Gallager of the 13th Infantry. He married Rosanna Morier. A She and a number of my father's siblings died in the Spanish Influenze epidemic. My father Joseph A. McCarron, and his brothers Raymond and William lived. I am not sure of any other survivors. His 2nd wife, a contract bride from PEI, Margaret Christopher had no children. My cousin Bruce McCarron, last address in Malden Mass, located William's grave at a military cemetary in Rochester Ny. He never married according to my cousin. Raymond raised his family in Brighton MAss.
My father. born in 1916, was baptized at St Francis DeSAles Church in Roxbury on 01/14/1917.
I know my grandfather had a brother, James. I know this as my uncle Raymond showed me a boston newspapers story about Jimmy McCarron's career in the military when I was young.
