I was in error, it was not Jacob who married Mary Fincher, but Isaac McLendon who married Mary Fincher and was born in Edinburg, Scotland. It does get confusing with the Jacob's and Isaac's dosn't it?
Isaac McClendon, was a son of Jacob not Thomas McClendon.Thomas was Isaac's grand father....I am going to add this bit of information to give proof on the Isaac Lineages and the marriage.

First Isaac can be a proven son of Jacob by his baptismal record when listed as a son of Jacob and Martha in St. Fredrick Parish, South Carolina records, dated 29 May, 1753, three years after his birth. he was baptized in Craven County North Carolina and the Minister recorded the record in South Carolina.
Isaac, son of Jacob McLendon and Martha Travis married Elizabeth Stribling. While Isaac of Scotland and Georgia, and possible son of YES, Jacob McClendon married Mary Fincher.

Isaac, son of Jacob was executor of his father in law, Francis Stribling's will. Elizabeth Stribling was left a slave by her father.
Isaac and Elizabeth had six children named in probate court.
