Claude D. McCollom, 53, Stover, died January 19, 2003, at Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital, Columbia. He was born June 5, 1949, in Proctor, a son of Martha J. McCollom. He was married March 2, 1974, in Barnett, to Flossie M. Meeks, who survives at the home. He was a 1969 graduate of Stover High School and was an Army veteran. He worked for the Paul Alpers turkey farm, Versailles, and the Allstate Manufacturing Plant, Versailles. He was a member of Stover First Baptist Church. Other survivors include:one son Claude Joseph "Joe" McCollom, Stover; four brothers, Leroy McCollom, Kansas City, Harvey MCCollom and Herman Wilson, both of Versailles, and John Whitlock, Stover; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Nelson Daniel McCollom Sr. Services will be at 11 am wednesday at the Stover First Baptist Church. The Rev. Dinzel Webb will officiate. Burial will be in the Stover Cemetary. Visitation will be from 3-7 pm today at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover. The family will be available from 5-7 pm. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
