A footnote references a book called "Frontier Forts" (that I have not found) states that a few white persons and Indians were buried near the fort in a grave yard fenced off from the side of the garden.I talked to the farmer who lives across the road from the fort and he had lived there all his life and didn't know about any graves. Also, some of the same names appear on both lists.Somewhere I have copies of the Maryland Gazette, just can't put my hand on them this minute. There is also a notice in the Pennslyvania Gazette on 29 April, by a John Potter of his intent to clear talk of his bad conduct at the time William McCord's Fort was destroyed. This hearing was supposed to happen on 14 May but I never could find any further reference.
