I do have a copy of a hand-drawn tree of the family of William Stuart McCord & Permelia Mann, which includes their 8 children, and the spouses & children of those children. (I do not know when this was done, but other trees drawn by the same individual include some individuals born as late as 1951, so obviously it was not done long, long ago!In any case, in looking at familysearch.org , or perhaps http://rootsweb.com/http://rootsweb.com/, I believe, I found that William Stuart McCord's father was John McCord. He was born in Albemarle VA in 1763, and died in Pontotoc, Mississippi.William Stuart McCord was born January 9, 1794 in Abbeville County SC, and supposedly died in Georgia, and is buried in the Salem Campground Cemetery in Newton County, GA.My connection is that his daughter Margaret Ann married James M. Woodruff, father of my great grandfather Benjamin Hill Woodruff. Anyway, if this sounds like a possible grouping of your family, I'd be happy to mail it to you.The children are Jane McCord (Married James M. Smith), Margaret Ann as above, James S. McCord (married Ellen Davis), Mary McCord (married George M. Shaw), Joseph A. McCord (married Etta, or Ella, Hall), W. Henry McCord (married Ellen Davis McCord per the tree), Moses S. McCord (married Eliza Lindenberger), Permelia McCord (married Anderson Middlebrook), and John Lewis McCord (married Elizabeth S. McCord - and had quite a few children)Hope some of this helps you identify names that are in your family.Let me know, and I'll send it to you.A cousin of mine in Atlanta says that there are a number of McCords in the Atlanta area, of this same family.
