Re: Matthew Archibald McCorkle

I have a John McCorkle b) abt 1730 and died abt 1810 in Mecklenberg County, N.C. His wife was Margaret Evans McCorkle. I don't know where either were born but both died in Mecklenberg County. Thier children were Matthew, Archibald, Owen, James, Mary (Married Hugh Forbis), Robert, Margaret (married John Williams,my gggg-grandparents), John, Elizabeth (married Samuel Gordon), Milly (married Jonathon Gordon). I know my gggg-grandparents were married in Mecklenberg county,N.C. but settled in Union County S.C. Does any of this sound familar?
