Will of James McCormick/McCormac Hampshire Co. (W) VA and other records
Hampshire County (West) Virginia, James Mc Cormick born 1776 died 1849.
Hello
I am seeking information on my relative Mary Ann McCormick who married Greenbury King on 4 March 1824 in Hampshire County (West) Virginia and later moved to Knox County Ohio where she died about 1838.After Mary Ann’s death Greenbury moved his family to Shelby County Illinois where he is listed on the 1850 census living next door to Wesley King, also married in Hampshire County (West) Virginia.Greenbury and family move once again and are listed on the 1860 Mercer County Missouri census.
The only McCormick in Hampshire County (West) Virginia that I could locate was a James McCormac/McCormick who died before July 23, 1849. The 1950 Hampshire County (West) Virginia mortality census lists James as being born in 1776 and died of asthma in June of 1949/50.James’ will does not list a Mary Ann McCormick or her children.
