For anyone interested, there are the Matthew Calhoun McCrary Papers, 1861-1869, housed in the South Caroliniana Library, University of S.C., Columbia, S.C., consisting mainly of his letters written to his wife while serving in Virginia during the Civil War, 1861-62. The accession number is 13112.
