George McCrary born Mobile, died Texas

Looking for my gr gr grandfather George (G or Lee?) McCrary, born in the 1840's in Mobile, married Adelia Parish in the late 1860's in Texas, died in Galveston in the 1910's? I have very little good info on him - he has been terrifically difficult to track down. *Any* information or clues would be appreciated.
