The Estate of a Mr. McRary of Greensboro, Alabama
I’ve recently come across a newspaper article dated March 18, 1898, where a Mr. McRarywilled his estate to the grandchildren of Mrs. Vina Sherrill. This is Mary Lavinia McRary, the wife of Reuben Sherrill and was believed by the newspaper (The Landmark, Statesville, NC) to be the sister of Mr. McRary. The name was given only as “Mr. McRary” and he lived in Greensboro, Alabama. The children of Vina Sherrill were given as Mrs. Charles Harwell, Mrs. Martha Roberson and Mrs. Magaret Mayhew. These daughters were dead at the time of publication of the article. The article also states that Mr. McRary was “related” to “the late T. F. McRary” of Davidson Township, Iredell County, NC. No dates other than the date of the article were given. Does anyone know who this “Mr. McRary was? Thank you for your help.
