David:

Re:Your message posted on Genforum in 2008 concerning Lettice McCrary, she was my g-g-g-g-grandmother & was the daughter of James Noteman McCrary of S> C> & she married Judge James Paden in S> C>They later moved to DeKalb County, GA & raised a family of several children.
The Paden Plantation ran along Peavine Creek & consisted of 700 acres. It was situated on property which today is known as Emory University here in Atlanta.
Also, another interesting note is that Judge James Paden sold 200 acres to a gentleman named Hardy Ivy who was the first permanent settler in what is known today as Atlanta, GA.Ivy Street in Atlanta is named for him.
My mother, Nora L. Paden, was the g-g-g-Grand-daughter of Judge Paden & Lettice.

Are you a relative or is there a connection with this family?
