This John Mccrary might be my G=6 grandfather.Most of what I found seems to turn that way.The problem is my last name is spelled Mccrery. John's children depending last names were spelled from Mccrery to Mccray.I know Nathan, Mary, Elizabeth, Nellie and John were his childen My John was born in 1786 and died about 1820.His wife's name was Margaret Scott from Ireland. According to My John's sons they states that their father came from North or South Carolina depending on which one you were talking to
as to finding out any more information about John Mccrary it is hard as the names from South Carolina and North Corolina has been spelled many different ways.i hope this helpsl
