New McCrary Family Genealogy Forum / Message Board

Hi everyone,

As you may be aware, Genealogy.com has announced that this message board is scheduled to become read-only at the end of this month.

As I believe that this message board currently plays a vital role in connecting family researchers (and that its absence would therefore be to everyone's detriment), I have created a forum to serve as its replacement.

The new forum is not limited to a single surname, but rather any related spelling (including McCrary, McCreary, McCreery, McCrery, McCrerry, McCririe and McCririck, as well as other similar variations). The hope is that this will facilitate additional connections, as it would appear that all of these names may originate from a common source.

The new site will be free and open to everyone to use indefinitely, with a functionality that's similar to what existed here. Over time it may also grow to include other features and resources that are specific to our group of surnames.
