Thank you for responding. If I get any additional information, I will certainly let you know. I tried looking in the 1910 and 1900 census records for Alex & Eldora. I found a few Alex McCreights but nobody with a wife, sibling, or anyone else by the name of Eldora. My next step is to try and obtain court records for my grandfather's adoption/foster. There must have been some formal arrangement, at least that's my hope.
