Have no idea how the McCamber/McCumber I just found may fit. Just found the spouse of Elizabeth L. Young born about 1887 in New York state married Howard H.? McCamber (spelling in 1910 census) born about 1886 in New York. In 1910 they are living in Youngsville, Brokenstraw twp., Warren Co., Pa. and have been married 5 yrs., have 2 children, Wilman St?, age 4, b abt 1906 in New York state. and Gerald E., age 16?/12 born in Pa. This means they were probably married in NY, lived there through about 1906 but by about 1908-9 were in Pa., probably in Warren Co. In this 1910 census his mother-in-law, Martha Jane Young, widow, age 55, born New York is living with them as is his s-i-l, Norma J. Young, b March 1890 in New York. I know Martha Jane Young's maiden name was Hartley. Her parents were Joseph Hartley and Jane nee Seaton, both born in England. I found them in the 1850 census, new immigrants, with no children in h/h yet, in Fishkill twp., Duchess Co., NY. I cannot find them again until 1880 when they appear in Pittsfield twp., Warren Co., Pa. I can not find the daughter Martha Jane Young in any census records by doing a search of the 1880 census cd's for New York state nor Pa. It seems she lived in NY after marriage as daughter, Elizabeth was b there abt 1887, daughter Stella b NY Aug. 1886 but daughter, Norma was born in Pa. in 1890. Norma's birth in Pa. would indicate the parents had moved there by 1890 but I cannot find Martha Young nor husband in the 1900 census of Warren co., although they may be there as I find the on-line search engine for the 1900 census is undependable. Since her daughter Elizabeth L. married Howard McCumber/McCamber in NY perhaps she moved back there, but where? Any info to find his family would be greatly appreciated.
