Leonard was my grandfather's brother. (I live in Claremont, NH.) A few notes on the obit --
1.Leonard told me he was actually born in a small town outside of Thetford Mines. He wasn't sure of the spelling, but what he said sounded like "Saint Durlande". There is a small town called St-Adrien-D'Irlande just west of TM.
2.Jacqueline Rice was actually a step-daughter.
3.He had only 5 brothers. (There was no George.)
4.His sister Annie's married name was Davidson.
All the spellings in "The Anglo-Protestants of Megantic County" are my relatives.
Is Bailey your maiden name? If so, you (or, if not, your husband) may be related if you have kin from the Eastern Townships.
Henrietta Bailey (1859-1933) married James McElreavy (1871-1962.) They were from Leeds.
Evelyn McElreavy (cira 1880 - circa 1970) married Earl Howland (1877-????), who was the son of Mary Margaret Bailey. Members of that family went from Leeds to Barre, Vermont to Massachusetts.
There also numerous other Baileys interconnected with families with multiple connections to the McElreavys, such as the McGuires, Nutbrowns, Davidsons, Learmonths, Hendersons & more.
